The wood does change the texture, but it is always forced to battle with the acidity for control. The flavor doesn’t stop, but it is never sweet or sloppy. It may be an oaked wine, but it simply retains the verve that the unoaked Alvarinho has, pure and crisp, with a bright feel […] This is certainly the best wine this property has ever shown me.
